Mr. Bruce Bultman is the President and Principal Geologist of Aegis Environmental. Bruce has 27 years of environmental consulting experience with a diverse background in Hydrogeology, Site Characterization, Risk Assessment, Plume Stability Evaluation, Remediation Design and Implementation, In-situ Soil and Groundwater Treatment Technologies and Regulatory Negotiations.
Bruce’s professional experiences include broad knowledge and experience in a variety of industries. Bruce has extensive experience with the investigation, remediation, and closure of projects involving the petroleum industry. He has worked at refineries, pipelines, bulk storage facilities, terminals, and numerous service stations. Bruce also has overseen many projects involving the assessment and remediation of chlorinated solvents, metals and other contaminants at manufacturing and industrial facilities. Bruce enjoys spending his free time with his wife, their two dogs and his family. He also enjoys fishing, and traveling.
Mrs. Jane Bultman is the Director of Business Development at Aegis Environmental. She is responsible for introducing Aegis Environmental to new clients, as well as building relationships with existing clients. Jane began working at Aegis Environmental in April of 2013. Before joining the Aegis team she enjoyed ten years of teaching elementary and college level students. She moved from the education field directly into sales and worked for Roche Pharmaceuticals for ten years. Her position as Aegis Environmental has given her the opportunity to put her skills into action, learn new material and share information with others who will benefit from the knowledge and expertise of her fellow employees. Mr. James Hoover is the Michigan City, Indiana Branch Office Manager and Senior Project Manager with Aegis Environmental. James has been employed at Aegis since November 2001. James earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management from Indiana University in 2000. James is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM #14350), has been certified by the State of Indiana in underground storage tank decommissioning, is a licensed asbestos inspector in Indiana and Michigan, is a State of Michigan Certified Underground Storage Tank Professional (CP) #1145, and maintains current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety training certificates.
As a Senior Project Manager, James is responsible for overall project coordination, implementing/overseeing remedial technologies, management of subcontractors, all site reporting requirements, budget management, invoicing and maintaining strong communication with clients and regulators. In addition, James has a technical background in environmental due diligence, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, environmental assessments, remedial action and risk assessments, and remediation system operation and maintenance, and spill/emergency response.
James enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children at their family cottage in Grand Beach, Michigan. James enjoys sailing, water skiing, mountain biking, road biking, and home improvement projects. James is active in the local community, serving on the board of the Michigan City Main Street Association.
Mr. Marty Clifford is a Project Manager at Aegis Environmental. Marty received a Bachelor of Science in geology from the University of Cincinnati in 1995. Marty has completed and maintained his 40 hour HAZWOPER training and the 10-hr OSHA Construction Safety Training and is a Licensed Professional Geologist in the State of Indiana (LPG# 2404). Marty is responsible for the successful management and implementation of the investigation, remediation and closure of various projects. Marty has experience in project management of petroleum and chlorinated solvent impacted sites. Marty has performed numerous subsurface investigations to define the nature and extent of impacted materials under Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST), Risk Integrated System of Closure (RISC), and Remediation Closure Guide (RCG) regulatory guidelines. Marty has prepared Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports, Underground Storage Tank (UST) System Closure Reports, Initial Site Characterization Reports (ISC’s) and Remediation Work Plans (RWPs). Marty’s professional interests include environmental forensics and emerging remediation technologies. When he is not working, Marty enjoys woodworking.
Ms. Tricia Dilk is the administrative assistant at Aegis Environmental. Tricia has worked with Aegis for five years. Tricia’s responsibilities include: project invoicing, light bookkeeping, providing assistance to project managers, preparing and modifying documents including correspondence, reports, drafts and figures. Tricia also maintains a digital project filing system, prepares filing systems for new projects, keeps inventory of office supplies, coordinates maintenance of office equipment, handles requests for documentation, along with additional tasks and responsibilities common to the majority of administrative assistances. Tricia is currently enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College to earn a degree in AutoCAD drafting. In her spare time she enjoys zumba classes with her friends and shopping with her mother and sisters. Mr. Aaron Manship is the newest member of the Aegis team. Aaron is a project manager and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including: field sampling of soil, water, lead, and asbestos. Aaron is also responsible for writing and presenting project reports to clients. He is currently working towards receiving required licenses and certifications which will qualify him to sample and investigate a diverse number of sites. While working at Aegis, Aaron will receive valuable and required work experience that will assist him as he works towards his personal goal of protecting the environment and becoming a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). Outside of work Aaron loves to watch Xavier Musketeers basketball, play Xbox, and research investment real estate specifics and opportunities.
Piper is our english cream retriever. She was born in the fall of 2013 in Westfield, IN. Piper lives in Greenwood with her family. Her main duty at Aegis Environmental is detecting petroleum through scent. Piper has completed basic obedience training and scent training at Indiana Working Dogs. When Piper isn’t in the field working, continuing her training or spending afternoons in the office, she enjoys playing at Independence Park and taking walks through her neighborhood. Piper is also a registered therapy pet through Pet Partners and is a participant in the Morris Animal Foundation Canine Lifetime Health Project. The foundation is a non-profit organization that invests in science that advances veterinary care for companion animals, horses, and wildlife.
