UST Removal Process

Should you have a confirmed UST on your property or if you discover an unanticipated UST, it is imperative that you understand the right management procedure.

The first phase involves locating the location of the UST and gathering all pertinent documents for the tank. We will then alert the appropriate oversight agency. The UST will then be removed, cleaned, and taken away from the site for disposal. Following UST removal, verification soil samples will be obtained under the UST removal area and the piping/dispensers (if they were present). If soil samples reveal pollution consequences that exceed regulatory standards, more evaluation and subsequent remediation may be required. Typically, remediation for soil damage consists of soil removal.

The last phases require additional coordination with the relevant government oversight bodies. A report describing the initial investigation, removal, sampling, and remedial actions will be submitted.
