Earlier this month, our team went to work on the site of a 100-year old building. A wall was removed during renovation, revealing a layer of asbestos-containing cement board hidden behind a non-asbestos surface board. The integral bond between the asbestos cement board and concrete building substrate created quite a challenge; our team is always up for a challenge!
With powered chisel hammers in hand, we began to chip away the concrete building substrate bit by bit, resulting in a finish looking similar to the moon’s surface; check it out.
In the end, the asbestos was removed, the space was free of contaminants, and our client was satisfied with the work, making this project a win-win.
Do you suspect you have asbestos in your drywall, wrapped around ductwork in your basement or attic, or even in your floor tiles? Have you been asked to clean up asbestos in your home? Our team will walk you through asbestos testing and clean up in your home when necessary.
