
Bruce Bultman
President & Principal Geologist
Mr. Bruce Bultman is the President and Principal Geologist of Aegis Environmental. Bruce has 28 years of environmental consulting experience with a diverse background in Hydrogeology, Site Characterization, Risk Assessment, Plume Stability Evaluation, Remediation Design and Implementation, In-site Soil and Groundwater Treatment Technologies, and Regulatory Negotiations.
Bruce’s professional experiences include broad knowledge and expertise in a variety of industries. Bruce has extensive experience with the investigation, remediation, and closure of projects involving the petroleum industry. He has worked at refineries, pipelines, bulk storage facilities, terminals, and numerous service stations. Bruce has overseen many projects involving the assessment and remediation of chlorinated solvents, metals, and other contaminants at manufacturing and industrial facilities. Bruce enjoys spending his free time with his family and two dogs. Bruce and Piper volunteer as a registered therapy team through Pet Partners. He also enjoys fishing and traveling.

Jane Bultman
Director of Business Development
Mrs. Jane Bultman is the Director of Business Development at Aegis Environmental. She is responsible for introducing Aegis Environmental to new clients, as well as building relationships with existing clients. Jane began working at Aegis Environmental in April of 2013. Before joining the Aegis team, she enjoyed ten years of teaching elementary and college-level students. She moved from the education field directly into sales and worked for Roche Pharmaceuticals for ten years. Her position at Aegis Environmental provides an opportunity for her to put her skills into action, learn new material, and share information with others. She will tell you, that the best part of working at Aegis is spending time with the people who make up the team. When she is not working, Jane enjoys walking outdoors, spending time with her family, and volunteering with her dogs, at church, and through IN SOLE. James Hoover
Hazardous Materials Manager
Mr. James Hoover is the Michigan City, Indiana Branch Office Manager and Senior Project Manager with Aegis Environmental. James has been employed at Aegis since November 2001. James earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management from Indiana University in 2000. James is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM #14350), has been certified by the State of Indiana in underground storage tank decommissioning, is a licensed asbestos inspector in Indiana and Michigan, is a State of Michigan Certified Underground Storage Tank Professional (CP) #1145, and maintains current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety training certificates.
As a Senior Project Manager, James is responsible for overall project coordination, implementing/overseeing remedial technologies, management of subcontractors, all site reporting requirements, budget management, invoicing and maintaining strong communication with clients and regulators. In addition, James has a technical background in environmental due diligence, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, environmental assessments, remedial action and risk assessments, and remediation system operation and maintenance, and spill/emergency response.
James enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children at their family cottage in Grand Beach, Michigan. James enjoys sailing, water skiing, mountain biking, road biking, and home improvement projects.

Mya Smith
Project Manager
Ms. Mya Smith is a Project Manager at Aegis Environmental. Mya joined the team in June of 2021. She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Science and a minor in Spanish. While at Purdue University, Mya had a leadership position in a sustainability organization called Boiler Green Initiative, participated in undergraduate research, was an ambassador for her major, and had an Internship with Purdue University’s Sustainable Communities Extension program in the summer of 2020.
In her current position, she is responsible for preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Reports, site planning, client coordination, oversite of remediation activities, asbestos surveys, lead inspections, and sampling. She currently maintains OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and is a licensed lead and asbestos inspector.
On weekends and after work, Mya enjoys longboarding, listening to music, spending time outside, and working on creative projects such as painting.

Greg Grund
Environmental Field Technician
Mr. Greg Grund is an Environmental Field Technician at Aegis Environmental. Greg joined the team in August 2023. He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science in August of 2023. Before joining Aegis, Greg spent ten years working for Crown Counseling Services, providing case management and supervised visitation services on behalf of the Department of Child Services, managing Crown’s satellite office, and heading their drug screen program. Joining Aegis allows him to learn new skills and put his education into practice within the environmental field.
He currently maintains an OSHA 10-hour and an OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
Greg is an avid home gardener in his free time and enjoys spending as much time outside as possible, hiking, camping, and sitting by the fire while accompanied by his wife and their two huskies.

Leslie Rardin
Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Leslie Rardin is the Administrative Assistant for Aegis Environmental. She is responsible for answering phones, preparing reports, and filing, among other various office duties. After spending several years at home with her children, she joined the Aegis team in 2018. Leslie previously worked for Rolls-Royce as a buyer. Working for Aegis has given her the opportunity to utilize and expand her skills in a professional environment again. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, volunteering and watching a variety of sports.

Piper
Scent Specialist
Piper is our English cream retriever. She was born in the fall of 2013 in Westfield, Indiana. Piper lives in Greenwood with her family. Her primary duty at Aegis Environmental was petroleum detection through scent. Piper has completed basic obedience training and scent training at Indiana Working Dogs. At this time, Piper is not working in the field. She enjoys spending afternoons in the office, playing at Independence Park, and taking walks through her neighborhood. Piper is also a registered therapy pet through Pet Partners and participates in the Morris Animal Foundation Canine Lifetime Health Project. Plan an afternoon visit to our office to meet Piper; she loves a good belly rub!
